After the cliffhanger ending of Calliope knocking Kate out at the end of Goddess Interrupted, we find that it's 9 months later and Kate has been held hostage the whole time because Calliope want her baby and wants her dead. Henry and the rest of the council don't know she's missing - or do they? - and they also don't know she's preggers. Ava tells Henry just as Kate has her baby and Henry comes to her rescue but ends up getting seriously injured and, since he's unaware of the baby's existence, the baby (Milo) gets left behind. Kate is determined to get Milo back but Cronos forces her to agree to be his Queen, which she then backs down on and Cronos starts destroying cities. Kate's only chance to save Henry and Milo and the rest of the council is to actually be with Cronos - but can she actually go ahead with it?

As I mentioned in my last review of Wilde's Meadow, so many of my favourite series are ending - this one included. Although I've still to read The Goddess Legacy (book 2.5) which is several shorts from several POVs, sadly it's not available in Kindle in the UK yet (I keep hitting that "tell the publishers" link!).

I have loved this series so much - as I said in my review for The Goddess Test, the whole Greek god/goddess thing is different from what else is out there (although more god/goddess series have emerged since I read The Goddess Test). I really like Henry and Kate as well as the rest of the council (I even like Calliope to an extent - and she's a bitch!).

If you like YA with a twist then I definitely recommend picking this series up, if you haven't already. It's very well written, with great characters and well paced so you don't lose interest or get bored of action.

A fantastic sequel to The Goddess Test. Kate has passed the test and is now Henry's Wife, after spending her summer with James she's excited to get back to Henry and officially become the Queen of the underworld and rule by Henry's side. But when her coronation is interrupted by Cronos, the king of the Titans and the only being capable of ending the world and the council, Henry has to leave her to try and stop him. Unfortunately Henry and the rest of the council end up needing saved by Kate, with help from James, Ava and Persephone.

I actually quite enjoyed finally meeting Persephone, the girl who broke Henry's heart and make him want to fade into death rather than take on another wife and Queen. Kate faces some trials and tribulations in this book and tries to come to terms with the knowledge that Henry will never love her the same as Persephone.

This book made me realise I'd quite like to read a story from Henry's point of view. Because I'm just as confused as Kate about Henry's feelings towards her and would like an answer. I was the same with the Morganville series and Rachel Caine wrote a short from Shanes POV and it cleared it all up for me.

Loved this book and can't wait to read more.

The idea of this book instantly stood out to me. It was just so different from all the other books out there, not that I don't love me some werewolves or vampires or witches etc. But Greek Mythology has always intrigued me, so this seemed really interesting.

I like the twist that Aimée put on the classic mythology and I really liked the characters of Kate and her mom. The storyline of Kate having to come to terms with her mother's impending death and, once they're in Eden having everyone know about it, is really heart wrenching. I'd hate to have everyone treating you special and constantly pitying you because they knew your bad news, it's the main reason I'd hate to live in tiny town or village.

I thought I'd worked out the ending about halfway through the book but I was entirely wrong! I loved that, lol. I hate when I know the baddie/twist/whatever before it's revealed, it makes it less exciting.

This is the first book I've read from Aimée Carter and it certainly won't be the last. I can't wait for the sequel!
